Today was movie day! I haven't been to the movies in eons!!!! Watched 'The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor'.
The show was quite fast paced, just the way I like it. You don't really have time to think, except er how come Brendan Fraser's son looks more like his younger brother???
My friend later asked me what fragrance I was wearing cos she kept smelling it on me. I laughed and told her I could only smell her perfume and not mine;)
Anyway, the FOTD was: Miller Harris' Noix de Tubereuse
Extracted from Luckyscent:
A lustrous and mesmerizing potion that began in the
endangered tuberose fields of Grasse.
The plant’s intensely fragrant leaves are the heart (and soul) of this utterly
gorgeous perfume. Airy notes of clover, mimosa, and violet add a delicious
lightness to the tuberose, while a whisper of fig enhances its creamy
sweetness. Ravishing. Our latest hopeless addiction.
Tuberose leaves, tonka bean, orris amber, wild green clover, mimosa, violet, fig
Though I'd much prefer the scent description from the MH website:
Noix de Tubéreuse is a deep, sensuous and oriental take on this classic fragrance made from the endangered tuberose fields of Grasse.
It is blended with mimosa, wild green clover and a little violet. What sets this tuberose apart from the others is its buttery note preventing it from becoming too heavy or cloying.
It remains an intimidating, headstrong and powerful fragrance, a great signature scent for the modern, urban woman.
Hmmm, I would like to be termed as the all the above: "intimidating, headstrong and powerful fragrance, a great signature scent for the modern, urban woman"
Some of my friend would say that is sooo me;) Now that this scent has been discontinued in Singapore, I would wonder where to get my HG again...... But, the old must always make way for the new. Annick Goutal's Songes would be a promising replacement.....
When I put on the scent, immediately I am transported to a warm, sandy beach. Balmy wind blowing in my hair, the shade of the coconut trees on my face and the smell of buttery creamy flowers in the wind. The exact word is: EXOTIC!! This is totally a scent for the tropics! I would like to bring this scent to a cold climate and see how it would develop there but alas I haven't had a chance yet.
I had once said that I am a vanilla, amber girl? Now I must also stress that I am also a tuberose girl;) The former 2 being an oriental and the latter being a floral. My friend was telling me then I must be a floral oriental. So there! I have finally found where I truly belong!!!;)

[this is good] I hope, it's OK
